Dream Team (1997)

About this game

Similar to Slapshot, but with a magic fantasy tournament theme instead of ice hockey. Characters of different strengths oppose, the difference giving the number of dice you may place (not throw) in your attack or defense. Action cards affect the matches. There is a financial variant and a solitaire game.

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 2 to 6.
• Rules load. At 1.7/5 this is a light game — explain it in a few minutes, good for a table that has not played much.
• Age. The publisher suggests 12 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
