YOU are the Maniac! (2012)

About this game

YOU are the Maniac! transforms the player into the role of the Maniac. Slash your way through a 3 part film franchise, complete with a familiar cast of characters and all of the slasher film stereotypes we hold dear to our bloodthirsty hearts. In each film, 13 Victims are lined up, including one Final Girl. Players take turns playing Maniac cards, capturing Victims and adding them to their killer Collection. At the end of the third movie, the Maniac with the most points wins. Gameplay is fast-paced with a surprising mix of strategy and dark humor.

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 2 to 4.
• Rules load. At 2.0/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 13 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
