About this game
An operational scale game of combat between the Allies and Italians in the North African Desert in World War II. Uses half-day turns, 2 mile hexes, and battalion scale units on a 34x22" map. Published in The Wargamer Magazine number 41. This was one of a series of seven games that all use a common system. The System was called "Battles for North Africa". The other games in the group were Decision At Kasserine: Rommel's Last Chance (the original), Hellfire Pass, Rommel at Bay, Patton Goes to War, Objective: Tunis, and Race For Tunis.
Does it fit your group?
- Group size. Strictly 2 players — no more, no fewer.
- Rules load. At 3.1/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
- Age. The publisher suggests 12 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
