Las Navas de Tolosa, 1212 (2005)

About this game

This game covers one of the battles of the Reconquista, Las Navas de Tolosa, 1212. It uses a refinement of the "Au fil de l'epee" system used in the games in issues 26 and 45. This game originally appeared in Vae Victis issue 62. Like all Vae Victis games, the counters need to be mounted and cut out before play. This issue also includes errata counters for the previous issue's game (Ebre).

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Strictly 2 players — no more, no fewer.
• Rules load. At 2.8/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 12 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
