RPGQuest: Greek Mythology (2005)

About this game

A very colorful mixture of RPG and Boardgame, this brazilian game is designed for children of ages 8-10 as an introduction to miniature games. The game has rules for miniature battles between two or more participants. As in most miniatures games, players build an army with the same number of recruiment points (with each miniature having a different point value), then take turns moving and attacking until the opponent's forces are dead, withdrawn, or your pre-determined time limit expires. The basic game has 7 races and 8 classes to choose from, over 80 paper fold-out miniatures, 2 82x55cm colored maps and dozens of props.

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 4 to 12.
• Rules load. At 1.7/5 this is a light game — explain it in a few minutes, good for a table that has not played much.
• Age. The publisher suggests 12 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
