Blitzwar (2006)

About this game

BlitzWar is a World War Two strategic game set in the European and North African theater of operations which provides a high level of historical simulation with shorter games and with simpler rules than other games currently available. The main goal of BlitzWar is to provide strategy game lovers with an exciting game. This is largely provided by the number of decisions to be taken along with a great choice of action, although these will normally follow historical ones.

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 2 to 3.
• Rules load. At 2.5/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 12 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
