Alpha Playing Cards (1997)

About this game

Alpha Playing Cards are a simple deck of 74 cards with the letters of the alphabet on them that you can play a plethora of games with. There are fun letter recognition games that all ages will enjoy, solitaire games for when you want to pass a little time, and of course word games for more than one person.

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 1 to 6. It has a designed solo mode.
• Rules load. At 2.0/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 10 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
