Totemic (2020)

About this game

You were there when the world was new. The very first of your kind. The totem. Your place in Nature is everything. It is not enough to survive. You must thrive. In Totemic, animal spirits vie for their place in the natural world. Using cunning, strength, and aspects specific to their kind, each animal will approach this contest differently. Only the animal that best uses these aspects will win in the end. —description from the publisher

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 1 to 2. It has a designed solo mode.
• Rules load. At 1.6/5 this is a light game — explain it in a few minutes, good for a table that has not played much.
• Age. The publisher suggests 14 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
