The Champion of the Wild (Second Edition) (2019)

About this game

An hilarious social card game for 3-8 players. For as long as you can remember, you've been able to communicate with animals. Now you're an animal coach, training athletes for competition and today is the big one... Choosing one animal from a hand of cards to compete in 3 events against the animals chosen by the other coaches, you'll present your strategy and play out the events by discussion. Using a vote system, coaches earn points -- the coach with the most points is then crowned... The Champion Of The Wild. —description from the publisher

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 3 to 8.
• Rules load. At 1.2/5 this is a light game — explain it in a few minutes, good for a table that has not played much.
• Age. The publisher suggests 6 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
