1876: Trinidad (1994)

About this game

This is very small 18xx game set in Trinidad. It has two versions: one for use with the 1830: Railways & Robber Barons rules, the other with 1835 rules. Separate components for both games are included. The map has a mere 12 hexes and each game 3 "major" companies. It is good way to teach the system to new players. The game was never professionally published. It is available for download on the designer's website.

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 2 to 5.
• Rules load. At 3.0/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 14 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
