Pericle: Gathering Darkness (2023)

About this game

Pericle: Gathering Darkness is a bold new tabletop RPG that combines a fantasy RPG world with a ground-breaking app called Loremaster. App-driven gameplay presents the campaign, which takes away the need for a Game Master, and offers branching storylines so that player decisions impact and change the world around them. Dice-based combat and important story decisions anchor Pericle: Gathering Darkness in the realm of classic RPG gaming, while streamlined mechanics and a classless hero creation system give players the freedom to engage in tactical combat using totally unique characters. The world of Pericle awaits!

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 1 to 4. It has a designed solo mode.
• Rules load. At 3.6/5 this is a heavy game — read the rulebook before people arrive.
• Age. The publisher suggests 13 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
