Arkham Horror (1987)

About this game

Arkham Horror is a cooperative adventure game themed around H.P Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. The game has players exploring the town of Arkham as they attempt to stop unmentionable horrors from spilling into the world. It's possible for everyone to go insane and lose in this game. Re-implemented in: Arkham Horror (2005)

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 1 to 8. It has a designed solo mode.
• Rules load. At 2.4/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 12 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
