About this game
Bonaparte's First Offensive, April 1796 With his commission order fresh from Paris, Bonaparte established his HQ at Nice and took command of a front-line force of 35,168 men of the Army of Italy, ordering them across the mountains and heading for a fight at Montenotte. After Beaulieu's 26,697 men of the Army of Italy escaped from harm's way and sprinted for Acqui, the Piedmontese Army became Bonaparte's next target. Game features the battles of Montenotte, Dego, San Michele, Ceva (not listed on box cover) and Mondovi. A campaign game linking the battles is also possible. —description from the publisher
Does it fit your group?
- Group size. Works with 2 to 4.
- Rules load. At 3.2/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
- Age. The publisher suggests 10 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
