About this game
Riverwood Town is a tile placement game for 1 to 5 players, played in 15-20 minute games and inspired by games like Carcassonne or Dorfromantik. In turns, the players will place tiles matching the sides of the hexagons and forming towns, forests and rivers. Turn by turn, cooperatively, they will try to complete the missions before running out of tiles. Riverwood Town is a simple game, but with a lot of replayability and versatility. With 5 different game modes and 5 difficulties in those modes, every game of Riverwood Town is different. This is a perfect game for desktop gaming, to play with people who have little experience in modern games, as well as a great refresher between playing longer games. —description from the designer (translated)
Does it fit your group?
- Group size. Works with 1 to 5. It has a designed solo mode.
- Rules load. At 1.2/5 this is a light game — explain it in a few minutes, good for a table that has not played much.
- Age. The publisher suggests 8 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
