ザ・カカポ　バディ＆パーティ (The Kakapo: Buddy & Party) (2023)

About this game

ザ・カカポ　バディ＆パーティ ("The Kakapo: Buddy & Party") is a cooperative game that combines trick-taking and puzzles. Players become members of "KAKAPO," a special organization of bird conservation groups and all members work together to clear the given mission. If you can surround the target bird with this, the mission will be successful. However, the selection and placement of puzzle pieces may not always go as planned because the birds are very sensitive to human voices, so conversational communication is limited in this game. Players are unable to exchange information about each other's cards or which puzzle pieces to select, and must accomplish the common goal of completing the mission.

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 2 to 4.
• Rules load. At 2.0/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 10 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
