Winston: Nineteen Eighty-Four (2024)

About this game

Winston Smith, the protagonist of the novel "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by George Orwell, works at Minitrue, rewriting history and systematically eliminating all records of unpersons — but his longing for freedom leads him to believe that it is possible to overcome one's own fears...and escape! Winston: Nineteen Eighty-Four is a solitaire game in which you will have to travel from Minitrue to the Golden Country before the game rounds end. —description from the designer

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Strictly 1 player — no more, no fewer.
• Rules load. At 2.3/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 14 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
