About this game
Calling all super readers! Players practice key reading skills by taking on the powers of the Super Why team! The board and skill-based character cards help children build reading skills by identifying letters, rhyming, correcting silly sentences and learning how to read basic words. Alpha Pig with Alphabet Power: Players point to the uppercase letter on the board that matches the lowercase letter on the card. Wonder Red with Word Power: Players read the words or look at the pictures on the card and say another word or words that rhyme. Princess Presto with Spelling Power: Players say the word pictured on the card, then point to the first letter or fist two letters of that word on the center of the board. Super Why with the Power to Read: Players point to the word on the board that should replace the underlined word on the card to make the silly sentence make sense. For 2 to 4 players, ages 3 and up. Contents: game board, 4 playing pieces, spinner card, 110 question cards and instructions.
Does it fit your group?
- Group size. Works with 2 to 4.
- Rules load. At 1.0/5 this is a light game — explain it in a few minutes, good for a table that has not played much.
- Age. The publisher suggests 3 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
