Forward to Richmond! (1980)

About this game

Forward To Richmond re-creates the First Bull Run, the first major battle of the Civil War. It includes rules simulating the difficulties of commanding raw troops, morale, firefights, bayonet charges, cavalry, artillery, rallying, and hidden movement. Published in The Wargamer Magazine volume 1, #13.

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 1 to 4. It has a designed solo mode.
• Rules load. At 3.2/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 12 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
