Tabu: The Game of Aztecs (1980)

About this game

"The ancient Aztec atmosphere is revived in this game, where warriors and priests fight for leading the virgin to the sacrificial altar." Each player has 3 priests, 5 foot-soldiers, and a virgin. The object is to be the first to guide your virgin to the sacrificial altar at the top of the pyramid. Likely the only game on this particular topic!

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Strictly 4 players — no more, no fewer.
• Rules load. At 3.0/5 this is a mid-weight game — expect a proper rules explanation before you start.
• Age. The publisher suggests 10 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
