About this game
A simple boardgame version of golf in the 3M Bookshelf Series. Players mark their ball position on the laminated map of the 18 holes at Pebble Beach. They choose a club and then roll dice to determine if the hit is long or short and whether or not it hooked or sliced. There is a special putting chart for when you are on the green. There are four different golfers that a player can be: 'Old Smoothy' ignores extreme die rolls, 'Ironsides' is more accurate with Irons, 'Boomer' gets more distance with Woods and 'The Blade' is better at putting. Does it fit your group?
- Group size. Works with 1 to 4. It has a designed solo mode.
- Rules load. At 1.1/5 this is a light game — explain it in a few minutes, good for a table that has not played much.
- Age. The publisher suggests 12 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
